At Vamos Faroe Islands, we understand that plans can change. This policy outlines how cancellations, refunds, and changes are handled for all bookings.
1. Day Tours (Shared Tours)
- More than 48 hours before tour start → Full refund
- Less than 48 hours before → No refund
- No-show → No refund
2. Private Tours & Custom Experiences
- More than 7 days before tour → 100% refund
- 2–7 days before → 50% refund
- Less than 48 hours before → No refund
3. Changes to Bookings
- Changes are subject to availability
- We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling
- Last-minute changes may be treated as cancellations
4. Cancellation by Vamos Faroe Islands
We may cancel or modify a tour due to:
- Weather conditions
- Safety concerns
- Minimum participant requirements
- Unforeseen circumstances
If this happens, you will be offered:
- A rescheduled tour, or
- An alternative experience, or
- A full refund
5. Weather Policy
The Faroe Islands are known for unpredictable weather.
- Tours may be adjusted for safety reasons
- No refunds will be given due to weather conditions alone
- Our guides will always prioritize safety and the best possible experience
6. Late Arrival & No-Show
- Guests must arrive on time at the agreed meeting point
- Late arrivals may result in missing the tour
- Missed tours due to lateness are non-refundable
7. Pick-up Services
If pick-up is included:
- Guests must be ready at the agreed time and location
- Delays caused by guests may result in shortened or cancelled service without refund
8. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method
- Processing time may vary depending on your payment provider
9. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers:
- Trip cancellations
- Delays
- Medical emergencies
